Mr. Hardesty is a licensed attorney who began his career in fiduciary financial services in 2000. He joined GreatBanc Trust Company in 2015 and helped launch Arboretum Wealth & Trust Management. Prior to joining GreatBanc Trust Company, Mr. Hardesty served as Trust Officer for BankFinancial F.S.B., where he was responsible for trust administration and developing the trust services offered throughout all 18 of its Chicagoland neighborhood branches. Mr. Hardesty also served as Trust Officer for Downers Grove National Bank, in Downers Grove, IL.
After serving as a Combat Engineer in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert Storm, Mr. Hardesty earned a Bachelor of Science degree in paralegal studies, with a political science minor, from Southern Illinois University. He earned his Juris Doctor from the Northern Illinois University College of Law, and is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, the Federal Bar-Northern District, IL, and is a Certified Illinois Child Advocate in the 13th Illinois Judicial Circuit. Mr. Hardesty is a graduate of Cannon Financial Institute Investment Management School and is a Center for Fiduciary Studies Accredited Fiduciary Investment Manager™.
Mr. Hardesty currently serves GreatBanc Trust Company as Vice President and Senior Personal Trust Officer and as a Managing Director of Arboretum Wealth & Trust Management. His expertise includes a wide range of services in trusts, estates, guardianships, investments, insurance concerns and complex fiduciary needs.
